Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the use of tiny needles to stimulate very specific points on the body. These points are areas of designated electrical sensitivity shown to be effective in the treatment of specific health problems. While perhaps best known for pain relief, traditional acupuncture is used to maintain health and treat a wide range of illnesses.
Acupuncture treatments are aimed at identifying imbalances in the body, then working to correct those issues. This often involves blockages or deficiencies in certain areas or organ systems. Much of acupuncture’s benefit comes from its ability to increase and direct blood flow throughout the body. This ensures that all systems are getting enough oxygen, nutrients, and fluids to perform their functions properly.
Part of what makes acupuncture so unique is its ability to restore equilibrium in a person’s physical, emotions, and spiritual aspects. It is a mind-body medicine that works to benefit the entire person. Read more about acupuncture here.
